Hood Hopping

What do you do when your social life is way to busy to handle your half marathon training during day light? Of course. You start running in the twilight zone or even beyond. Since there is no lighting at my usual running place, and I’d feel way to stupid with a light bulb on my forehead, I started running around in my neighborhood and call it hood hopping. Actually quite entertaining to see who’s still on the street at that time, to check out the peoples living spaces, and finally see them getting ready for sleep. Within 1 and a half hour I manage to go up the hill almost into the forest all the way through to the city border, back down to the river into an entertaining area, and with a couple of circles back home…

A little more than a week until my half marathon, I’m somewhat relieved, that I managed to slow down my heart rate at approximately the same speed. Or maybe it is correlated to the music I’m listening? My latest discovery Imogen Heap, Speak for yourself is a mixture of Kate Bush, Tori Amos, and even a little Alanis Morissette…
